Leaders have a MORAL responsibility to be emotionally healthy

I believe leaders have a MORAL RESPONSIBILITY to be emotionally healthy…

There are many qualities that make a great leader…

such as having a vision, self-discipline, great communication skills, integrity, humility, strategic planning, focus, and getting the cooperation of others. But just because a person has gotten to a position of leading a team or company, does not mean that person has the character that’s needed to take on this responsibility (without negatively impacting the lives of other humans). Unfortunately, many who are in leadership positions lack emotional maturity, and this immaturity is costly.

Emotionally immature leaders destroy companies/ lives.

There are many examples in the world today of very promising and talented CEOs of companies that have imploded due to their own mental health and emotional maturity issues and taken their company and workers down with them. The pressure that is experienced in today’s business environment is immense, and any tears in the fabric of our psyche will be exposed. Many leaders will revert to unhealthy crutches such as addictions to drugs, alcohol, food, sex/ pornography to cope with the pressures they’re under. The core wounds of childhood traumas big and small are activated by high stress situations the leader is not prepared for. These wounds lead to intense, childlike reactions that can reverberate as negative, harmful treatment of employees and co-workers. When a young leader suddenly has a large sum of money and people to manage, the genius intellect that got them to this place is no longer enough- a truly strong character is needed.

Leading from Character to Leading through Personality.

Throughout history the focus on building a great leader has emphasized character development, but this focus has shifted in recent years from character to the superficial traits of personality. Personality is about slick looks, quirky mannerisms and the gift of gab; personality is showy and glamorous, but there is no substance to back it up. It takes hard, consistent work on yourself to develop a good character as a leader. Traits such as humility, self-discipline, and integrity are not glamorous and may not lead to quick success…but these traits will serve the leader, the company, and the people that work there for the long haul.

I have dreamed of creating a community where truly great leaders are incubated. The reason that I’ve wanted to target leaders is that leaders have the chance to impact so many lives. I want to create a community that is safe for healing old wounds, and that is challenging and inspiring for bringing out our true gifts and talentsOur collective whole desperately needs a new leader for our changing times… a leader who creates a workplace that is actually healthy for humans! AT this time of dramatic change, healthy leaders are essential to get us through to the other side.

Along with my business partner, who has a wealth of experience and success in building new companies and the worlds of technology and sales, we have now created such a community. Our community is all online to align with our current times, though we will have in-person meetings and retreats as the world opens up again.

I would like to invite you to join our new community where leaders in all walks of life can grow and thrive to their ultimate potential, so that they can create true cultures of innovation:  Zero Point Creation (ZPC) Community.

  • Real help in this time of massive change
  • A community of business leaders and experts that want to make a real difference in how work is done
  • A place where you can ask the questions you cannot ask HR
  • A place where you are safe, yet pushed to stretch and grow
  • A place to offer your own training or coaching program

If you join now, you will lock in these membership rates for life.

I am looking forward to serving you here and bringing out that spark of genius in you that is just waiting to emerge.

With love & blessings,

Dr. Eva
